چکیده
The diaphragm plays a crucial role in respiration, and dysfunction is common COPD, contributing to worsening symptoms higher mortality rates. Many methods have been implemented evaluate the function of diaphragm, but each comes with its unique set limitations. To overcome this challenge, novel approach was introduced assess patients chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) using thoracic computed tomography scans. This involves generating simulation from lung DICOM slice images calculating dynamic change respiratory motion by quantifying difference simulated mesh area during inhalation exhalation. experimental design incorporates various image processing algorithms, computational geometry surface fitting algorithm optimized minimize potential sources error. When proposed technique applied detect diaphragmatic results Pearson correlation analysis showed strong relationship between variables ratio exhalation average z-value surfaces, coefficient 0.731. suggest that highly accurate beneficial scenarios where essential, such as disorders, neuromuscular diseases like Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis or muscular dystrophy, spinal cord injuries, conditions sleep apnea. By providing specific numerical data on sensitivity specificity, offers quantitative evaluation effectiveness detecting COPD. In conclusion, currently semi-automated, however, future study may investigate fully automated approaches technique.

Effect of Home-based Pulmonary Rehabilitation on Daily Activity of Patients with Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease
Background: Pulmonary rehabilitation is an important part of treatment in patients with COPD (Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease) with the goal of achieving and maintaining maximum functional independence since this disease causes symptoms including fatigue, and consequently decrease in daily living activity. Aim: To determine the effect of home-based pulmonary rehabilitation on daily living...
متن کاملThe effects of Pilates and diaphragm exercises on some pulmonary factors in chronic obstructive pulmonary Patients
Introduction and purpose: Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) is one of the most important pulmonary diseases. The most important way to minimize the progress of the disease is to rehabilitate the lung. Rehabilitation of the lung improves respiratory pattern. To this end, the effects of two types of Pilates and Diaphragm exercises on some of the pulmonary factors in these patients were...

متن کاملEffect of Zafirlukast on improving lung function in patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary diseases
Background : There is little evidence about the role of Zafirlukast (a highly selective LTD4 antagonist) in Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD). The Zafirlukast can reduce the need for short-acting rescue β2 agonists, produce fewer exacerbations of asthma and increased quality of life as possible benefits treatment for asthma. The aim of our study was to evaluate the effects of Zafir...
متن کاملAspergillus colonization in patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease
Background and Purpose: Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) has been recognized as a risk factor for invasive aspergillosis. Airway colonization by Aspergillus species is a common feature of chronic pulmonary diseases. Nowadays, the incidence of COPD has increased in critically ill patients. The aim of the present study was to isolate and identify Aspergillus colonies in the respirator...
